Dirk Stoop (1615, Utrecht – 1686, Utrecht), was a Dutch Golden Age painter.
According to Houbraken his father was a good glass painter who was the first teacher of Abraham Diepraam.[1] Houbraken considered Stoop to be a good horse painter.[1]
According to the RKD he was the brother of Maerten Stoop and travelled to Italy, Portugal, England, and Hamburg before returning to Utrecht.[2] He is known for portraits and Italianate landscapes.[2]
